I’m a praying mantis. Seeing a praying mantis is often associated with good luck, fortune, and positive outcomes. Some interpret it as a sign of spiritual guidance, wisdom, or even a message from an angel or protector. The same is true when a mantis writes to you.
My best friend is a marmoset. His best friend is me. He wrote another post for Dispatch from Bewilderness. We are bewildered by humans. We are concerned about pollution and other perils to this planet, which is our home, too. We are also concerned about non-voters. Not voting can cause unwanted presidencies.
Sometimes I Google things. For example, type “How you should” in Google and you get 1,333,000,000 ways to save the world and your mind in trillions of easy yet elegant ways. Or, 3,333,333,333 ways to save the world. I didn’t have time to count them today, so numbers are approximate.
The perfect life in the perfect place with hot job market, low taxes, booming real estate, temperate climate. It’s up and coming, walkable, filled with green spaces, bikeways, kombucha, flowers, fresh herbs, and reclaimed wood whittlers if you’re a human.
Just one click can help them meet whomever they want. Do whatever they want. Put curves wherever they want them. Take them away wherever they don’t. It also brings humans answers to questions like:
Will the sun blow its top? Should cookies be enabled? Should Grandpa be allowed to drive? What happens to mice that are given human brain cells? Do they become fatter, smarter, highly pissed, bipolar – or all the above?
Evidently scientists have turned mouse hair into something so thick, the mouse looked like a wooly mammoth. Not sure why scientists used their brains for that when they could have created more crickets, instead.
Ask any mantis anywhere and you will find crickets are our favorite food. If we had more crickets, you would have more mantises and might also have more positive outcomes for humans and the rest of us. P.S. It’s always good to pray.
Observations, while sometimes funny, are also real in a way that can make the laugh catch in your throat. Like things which flash by at the intersection of fear and hope.
