You write like a splendid patchwork quilt, every patch a piece of the world you once knew and are now assembling again, in patchwork fashion. As a quilter myself, I can imagine you selecting and deciding which patch goes where …. and each time ending up with something extraordinary. A kind of miracle.

I more than “like” your posts. They are heroic in spirit and effort in a time littered with oath-breaking cowards. Rock on.

I love this post! Although I never would reference the Bible for any emergency, I really enjoy your writing and you do so much more for the world than throwing tomato soup at an someone 's art. All that is just phony righteousness that doesn't cost them anything. What you're doing? It costs you and therefore it actually mean selling.

Yesterday as part of the long unpacking of my new home (moving days were month of August) I found my Confirmation Bible. So I’ll mark the text though I’m long fallen.

I had a mini stroke 15 years ago - this is a brilliant lyrical description of the reaching & hollowing out of effort. I practiced meditation regularly before and it was a major pillar in my recovery along with western medicine (I’m not stupid)
