You are able to be poignantly funny about the most serious things. It's a rare gift. It survived the truck. and flowers in everything you write.

An amazing essay here, Judith! Your expert use of words makes your prose a delight to read. You capture the bewilderment of your awaking in a hospital emergency room, unable to speak or even organize your thoughts. How lonely that must have been! Your writing sheds light on the many aphasia sufferers in the world; thanks for sharing your story with us.

This piece is incredible. Thank you for reminding me to thank my brain for its good work. I'm sure everyone I shared this with feels the same way.

I am always checking out what the different parts of my Brain are up to.....particularly since vital radiation destroyed parts of me. Your drawing of the brain is as wonderfully helpful as the ones pictured on Mr. Google. I love the part of your brain which can draw birds. That seems almost impossible as your damage was so devastating. Did you draw before? As I went through my travail I realized that the body always strives to heal itself and you cooperate as best you can. That's the major goal of all living entities.....to keep living and functioning. It doesn't matter what you think. Is there a part of the brain which activates reflective thinking? The great mystery.... Always welcome your entries. Thank you
