Probably all of us had strange parents & a few had strange siblings. The nice thing about growing old (excusing your brain rework) is that we can change the parent/child dialogue. I’m much more forgiving now that I realize it’s an unchartered journey, but you know a lot about that…

This is one of your better posts, all of which I enjoy in varying degrees. As an only child like you, I also grew up with strangers. But I disagree with you about billionaires: Elon does not make me feel poorer.

You made me laugh and then you made me think. "Hello I am a robot"? I've never gotten an email like that, although of course many emails I receive probably are from robots. But it made me laugh. And I really like your prescription. I've adopted it for myself. Now to just figure out which time of day works best as a regular writing time. Thank you for sharing.

I was the strange sibling between two sisters. I was a stranger (somewhat) to my parents because they didn’t tell stories and I didn’t ask the right questions. I wish we had done better by each other.

You are not/were not strange. Alluringly wondrous, however. Botanically, and underneath it all, flowers are just weeds with a very large advertising budget.
