The press has consistently given trump featured coverage, from the days he was trying to disguise his voice and giving reporters a fake name over the phone. He’d call reporters to tell them where “Mr trump” would be, so he’d get his face in the papers for getting out of a car.
We in NYS have been sick of trump since way back, when he and his first eurotrash wife tried to claim they were real estate moguls. They were nothing but money grubbing cheats who never paid the contractors they hired the agreed upon price. Who name dropped constantly. Who were famous for being famous and who no one gave a rat’s ass about.
The press has pushed trump on us. They’d rather cover his misdeeds, publicize his ignorance. Unfortunately, a certain segment of this country has hitched their wagon to his. Why, I have no idea. After the way he treats his former buddies after they’ve been convicted of this or that, it’s a wonder anyone will give him the time of the day. After his insults to national heroes, his labeling of veterans and serving military as losers, his insistence that he knows more than anyone who’s served on his cabinet or as an advisor when he was president, his bullying of anyone who doesn’t agree with him, you have to wonder what ails some republicans. It seems they’re the only ones who think trump should be president. The only ones who think his sorry ass doesn’t belong in either prison or a mental institution. Or both.
Try reading different news sources from both the right and the left. The story you repeated about Trump’s disrespecting veterans just is not true. Multiple senior military officers there at the time denied that he spoke disrespectfully of veterans. Is Trump perfect? Certainly not! Was the hush money trial in NYC a fair trial? Not really. Do I like Trump? There are other Republicans I would prefer to vote for. But the DOJ lawfare against him gave the nomination to Trump, and this assassination attempt will most likely solidify his chances of victory in November. And I will vote for the Republican nominee. Holding my nose? Could be.
