Clearly, you don’t need to read it, for your wonderful prose reflects the great truths they taught in that little book.

Your writing and your recovery both are amazing. Whether you have memorized Strunk and White’s “Elements of Style” or not, your writing is what they taught us—clean, crisp, tight English prose.

Thank you very much for your support. Believe it or not, I don't feel that I am writing about a personal injury, but rather that I am writing a universal story. We each get hit by one metaphorical truck or the other ... the diagnosis , the disease , the death, the divorce ... in which we each get hit by one metaphorical or the other, and must rebuild from loss.

Mork tries to explain the human experience to Orson, who can't understand it. You have explained what it is to live with TBI and we have trouble understanding. Thank you for telling us and congratulations on the nominations; you have earned them.

Congratulations on your nominations for Best American Essay and for The Pushcart Prize! I'm proud of you - though we've never met and I know what you tell me through your writing. I'm still proud of your guts to keep going, to get back what you can and to make your brain behave to the extent possible. It would be so easy to quit, but where would that get you? Good for you.
